        Yaddo is renowned as its resident artists have won prestigious awards such as Pulitzer Prizes, MacArthur Fellowships, National Book Awards, and even a Nobel Prize. Each year, approximately artists and other creative types are selected for a 2-week to 2-month residency in the beautiful wooded area of Saratoga Springs, NY.   The idea of artists-in-residence in these institutions isn’t new.
